Educational Programs
Faculty and residents meet weekly for educational conferences including Grand Rounds, morbidity and mortality, textbook review with AccessSurgery, introduction of the SCORE Patient Care Curriculum Outline, and we serve as a field trial site for the Assessment of Professional Behaviors Program from the National Board of Medical Examiners®. Additional educational programming includes basic science review, ABSITE preparation, Journal Club and experiences with simulation at the University Learning and Assessment Center. Resident schedules are arranged by service, allowing residents to operate, attend office hours with their assigned faculty and participate in bedside teaching rounds.
