The MSU Department of Surgery was founded in 1971 and has been closely integrated with the MSU College of Human Medicine, adding the Residency program in 1988. The Department is dedicated to MSU's founding mission of education, research and service and has involved Surgical Residents and Medical Students in every aspect of clinical and hospital care, with carefull oversite and education by our Surgeons.
As part of the MSU Health Team, the MSU Department of Surgery provides an important aspect of quality patient care and works closely with other departments to esure timely and professional surgical intervention when needed. We are committed to providing you with the most current, state of the art surgical procedures.
Each of our Surgeons is a member of the Michigan State University AHMA and is a member of the Faculty for the MSU Health Team. The Department currently has Surgeons that are involved with Sparrow Hospital and its affiliates, McLaren Regional Medical Sparrow, Haye's Green Beach, and Ingham Regional Medical Center.
